George Hopper, a retired scientist/engineer, local preacher
and inclusive Christian. In 1992 he went from being anti-gay to a simple
ministry of friendship, support and Christian love, for lesbian and gay

their sexuality. The group can offer much support for those of all levels of
coming out.
Icebreakers
A Manchester based group for gay
and bi-sexual men who are either coming out, or are new to Manchester. They
hold weekly meetings, plus weekend events such as pub crawls, cinema visits
and walks. Icebreakers aims to be a way for men to make friends and
establish a social network.

Stonewall
The national civil rights group working for legal equality
and social justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. It is a respected
and effective campaigning organisation working with a growing network of
sympathetic politicians and alongside many grass roots groups.
